Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much influence will I have over the creative process?

A: Total. Our producers and directors will offer advice on style, content and the best way to achieve your vision but the key decisions will be up to you.

Q: How much will it cost?

A: Film making is expensive. A network quality TV programme costs, on average, £750,000. Our unique position in the industry, however, means we can negotiate substantially lower costs. Our budgets start at £5000, although the final figure can be significantly higher. Key factors include the number of filming and editing days required, celebrities, newsreel footage, special locations and so on. However production will not start until your film's budget has been itemised and agreed.

Q: How long will the film be?

A: Films can range from 3 minute tributes to full length
features.

Q:Who should be in the film?

A: Anyone you want: ideally, a mixture of friends, family, loved ones and colleagues. We can also approach celebrities or public figures on your behalf and ask them to take part, as contributors or presenters.

Q:Will there be a soundtrack?

A: Absolutely. You can choose your own music: from Robbie Williams to Wagner, from The Beatles to Bach. You can also request original music to be composed especially for your film.

Q:Can I use TV and Film clips?

A: Yes. We can include favourite TV shows or films. We also have access to historic footage of the most memorable news and sports stories of the last 90 years. This newsreel can be woven into the narrative, adding an evocative extra dimension.

Q:Can I use old photographs and home movie footage?

A: Yes. These are an essential part of any customized biography.

Q:What about locations?

A: Filming can take place anywhere: your own home, a glamorous location of your choice, or any place with special significance.

Q:How long will it take to make the film?

A: Ideally, allow us at least 8 weeks to research, shoot and edit your film.

Q:What format will it be on?

A: Your film can be recorded onto VHS video cassette or DVD, and will arrive in a luxuriously packaged handmade leather case. You can order as many copies as you want. We can also distribute it via the internet.

Q:What about confidentiality?

A: The content of your film will be treated with the utmost confidence and we will provide you with a written guarantee of security before production starts.
